True Image Workstation 9.1/3887 - doesn't see Broadcom Netlink Gigabit ethernet card

Thread needs solution

When booting True Image Workstation and Selecting True Image Workstation (FULL Version) on the next screen, where you select where the .tib file is, I select tools, then options, the screen changes to show "Network" without a plus sign next to it so I can't select the network card to put the IP addressing in.

Hello Gregory!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad you joined us! I completely share your concern and will be glad to help you!

The issue could've occurred due to the lack of drivers on the original Bootable Media. I will send you the updated bootable media via PM in a minute, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee that this solution will solve the problem:

Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation is an outdated product, and it's not supported, developed or updated anymore, so we cannot guarantee that it contains the drivers for newest hardware.

However I'm positive that we will anyway find a solution for this problem. So first of all please test the ISO image I'm sending you via PM and let me know the results. Should the issue persist - we will find another solution.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Hi Yana,

Kind rgrds Johan

Hello Johan!

Welcome to our Forum! Sure I will be glad to help you.

Please check your PM and let me know in case there are any issues with the media I've sent you.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.

Hi Yana,

I was looking around your site and couldn't find the bootable version that has the latest drivers in it and I seem to be having the same issue as the other people in this post. I was hoping that you could send me over that .iso as well.

Thank you.

Hi Yana,

I am having the same issue here. Are you able to PM a link for the updated ISO

Thanks

Hello David and Michael,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with this.

I will follow-up in a few minutes with private messages to both of you with the updated bootable media in ISO format.

Just in case, you can always download the latest bootable media from your Acronis web-account. Please use this article for instructions.

If you need additional assistance or have any other questions, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi,

I am also having the same problem with Broadcom Netlink Gigabit hardware. Is it possible to forward me the latest ISO build?

 Hello Jay!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here!

You can download the updated bootable media straight from your account as mentioned in Anton's instructions

Unfortunately since the product you're using is an outdated one, and it's not developed, updated and supported anymore, we cannot guarantee that it will support modern hardware.

As a workaround I can suggest you to take a look at our latest version of Acronis True Image Home, which currently is Acronis True Image Home 2010. You can test the solution before deciding whether you need it. I would also advise you to take a look at its User's Guide, you may find it useful.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

I am trying 2010 and this is where the problem is. Is the evaluation the latest build? I do see on the forum this network adapter has been a problem

 Hello Jay!

Thank you for your comment and for clarifying the situation, I really appreciate it!

The trial version is surely the latest build, so in case it doesn't work we can try another media built on alternative loader. I will send you the instructions via Private Message in a minute, please follow them and see whether the issue persists.

Should the problem remain, please gather Acronis Linux Report from the bootable media and send it to technical support directly: they will build a custom ISO for you, that will suit you particular hardware configuration.

Please let me know in case there's something else that confuses you, I will be glad to help!

Hello Friends,
I am having the same issue. I have acronis 8.0 and is unable to see the properties for the NIC. Can someone tell me where do i get a copy of ISO Image of updated acronis please?

Thanks,

Dear Mawladad Shirzai,

I regret to inform you that Acronis True Image 8.0 is an outdated product, it's not supported, updated or developed anymore, and it's not supporting modern hardware.

The only workaround I can suggest you is to upgrade to the latest version of Acronis Product.

If you have Acronis True Image Home 8.0, then the latest version is Acronis True Image Home 2011. You can find its demo version here, and User's Guide here.

If you have Acronis True Image Server 8.0, then the latest version for it is Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Windows (demo version's here, Installation, User and Quick Start Guides are here).

The demo versions are almost full functional. You can find the limitations here.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.
