Recovering files when you only have incremental files and not the full original

Thread needs solution

Is there any way to extract data from .tib files if they are only the incrementals and you don't have the base file?

I deleted the original backup file in error and am left with about 30 tib files that are marked as incremental.

I would like to extract any data I can from them. Is there a way?

Thanks!

Hello Jacqueline, the simple answer to your question is no, unfortunately.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try to recover the accidentally deleted base full backup image file if this hasn't been overwritten by other disk activity.

You could try downloading and running a recovery program such as Piriform Recuva to see if it can find and recover the deleted file.  I strongly recommend not using the drive where the backup was stored until you have tried recovering the deleted file as the more you use it the more likely you are to overwrite the deleted files.
