ATIH 2016 Crashing

Thread needs solution

Using ATIH 2016, a full disk backup will fail around 20%, whether booting from the UEFI disc or in Windows 10.

The SSD being backed up has been scanned for errors and none were reported.

A full disk backup has never been successful.

Is there a place to look for information regarding why the backup is failing ?

Hello Denna, please download a copy of the Log File Viewer app and look at the messages being posted in the Service logs for your failing backup task.  This should give a better idea as to why the backup if failing and what error is being encountered.

Steve,

   Thanks for the help.

Enclosed is the log file, but I don't see anything helpful in it.

Denna - you have 2 threads for the same issue... this one and http://forum.acronis.com/forum/119342.  It makes it much more difficult to respond in 2 different places.  Steve, she is running an OC machine and it only fails when the OC is in place.  I suspect an unsable OC and woudl suggest running Prime95 with the current OC for 30 minutes and see if it crashes or not.   DUring that time, I would also run Coretemp and CPUZ to see how hot the cores are getting during the stress test (over 70C and it's going to be trouble).

Bobbo_3C0X1,

A 1% CPU reduction in performance managed to get ATIH 2016 to successfully complete backups reliably.

Steve,

Thanks for the Log File Viewer program.

After many iterations of overclocking testing, a 1% reduction in CPU performance managed to get ATIH 2016 to successfully complete backups reliably.
