ATI 2016 build 6571 with Dell Latitude E7470 and NVME SSD
Using ATI 2016 build 6571 USB UEFI boot on Dell Latitude E7470.
I found two issues.
- It cannot detect Samsung 950 Pro 512GB NVME SSD.
- It cannot support LAN port for network connection.
Is any solution?
Thanks,

Rob,
This is not the first post I"ve seen about this issue. Do these machine models use the Intel RST drivers? I am wondering if they do that might have something to do with the issue.

I found more …
Dell Latitude E7470 is Dell latest model in same product line.
Processor: Intel i6 (my unit is i7-6600U)
Chip Set: Intel Skylake-Y
Ethernet: Intel 1219-LM
BIOS Version: 1.3.0
USB Flash Drive (was created from Rufus) –
It support UEFI boot and support ATI 2016 64-bit mode only – NMVE SSD and network adapter cannot be detected.
*** USB Flash drive boot failed under legacy boot
CR-ROM boot from external USB CD/DVD drive (Dell Latitude E7470 doesn’t built-in CD/DVD drive) –
- Legacy Boot: Let computer boot to CD boot automatically then NMVE SSD can be detected but Ethernet still cannot be detected (tested both of 64-bit or 32-bit mode).
*** BIOS support manual select boot source. ATI 2016 boot loader will fail and stop. Screen shows “Starting Acronis Loader…” - UEFI Boot: Booted under 64-bit only. Cannot detect any drive then reboot computer by itself even cannot see ATI main screen.

I think you will have to do this by creating WinPE boot media which by default will be UEFI 64 bit and then injecting the drivers for the NVMe drive, the i219 NIC should have native support in WinPE. You can determeine the drivers used for the NVMe drive by having a look in Device Manager. My suspicion is that Dell is using IRST drivers.

WinPE should definitely work - I have built and tested it and it works fine... again though UEFI only on these drives. Legacy boot attempts just black screen and then boot to Windows after a little while.
I will have to double check next week on the Linux media, but believe networkin was working fine - I may have been using Snap Deploy 1666 beta though when I was testing and can't remember.

I don’t know what your testing environment is.
My case is specific to Dell Latitude E7470 with Samsung 950 Pro NVME SSD.
After created latest WinPE ISO image, I found the result is almost same as original Acronis boot image.
- Still cannot support LAN port.
- Samsung 950 PRO can be detected only under legacy boot and secure off.
UEFI boot and secure off then Samsung 950 PRO CANNOT be detected.
Boot media cannot be detected under UEFI boot and secure on.
Dell Latitude E7470 is Ultrabook. One M.2 slot supports both of SATA and NVME SSD.
This kind of architecture will be keep going for years until NVME SSD price is low enough to replace SATA SSD. May be there is not better solution from Acronis in near future. But users will like to see improvement in this area.
In additional, ATI 2016 build 6571 boot media cannot work with Dell Latitude E7470 after BIOS updated to version 1.05.03 regardless UEFI, legacy, secure on/off boot.

The problem is you're using a disc and the system is limiting older legacy boot options. Please create a usb media and use the one time boot menu to boot it as UEFI and it works fine. I can't get any legacy to boot on the 7470 at all so am surprised you got it to with a disc. UEFI USB boot media is working fine with 951 pcie nvme And 950 pro, and so is the nic when booting this way on our 7470's.
