Having an issue with the error reports, and how to react to them

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis 10

Resently I have been seeing this error, and I am having an issue sorting it out. Can someone please give me some insite as to what this means exactly? For the looks of the error it appears that the back up failed to validate. However, i do not get this error daily, and I get an email that states that the back up completed successfully. Any help would be appreciated in the best way to read the eror messages.

I would need additional information in order to resolve this. What build is our software, what operating system are you using?

Where do you save the backups? Please create an AcronisInfo report, you can send me a private message with it.

I have runn the acronis utility like you asked, I am not sure what to do with the zip folder that it created, are you needing that whole file?

You are absolutely correct : we will need the entire AcronisInfo.zip file. it contacts product's logs and state, so it may shed the light to the situation. You see, "Failed to run Backup and Recovery Engine" is a very common error, it may point onto several different reasons, so in order to find the exact cause we'll need to see the logs entirely.

It would be also nice if you could kindly send us Windows Event Logs (Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc). Please attach this information either to the comment in the thread or send it to me (or to Anton) via PM.

I sent you a private message and just wanted to follow-up here in case you missed it. You should be able to see it in the left column under My Account link.

As I mentioned in my message, this validation error is caused by insufficient system resources and this is what I recommended as a fix:

1. Check the validation task and select to validate only the last backup and not the whole archive.

2. Acronis True Image Validation Errors Out with "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service" - article.

3. Acronis Product Fails to Back Up with "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service (0xFFF0)" - article. Even though it talks about backing up, the solution can be applied to this situation.

For our forum community I would like to add, that this solution was offered after analyzing the AcronisInfo logs with the full error message. There are many reasons for validation failures and full logs need to be studied in order to provide a solution.
