close authentication on protected nas share
Goodevening,
I have configured two backups on two different protected nas share, I'm sure I can't access these folders in windows. When I open ATI2016 i'm automatically logged on these share even if I don't enter in the single backup configuration, it's correct?. When a scheduled backup is finished or when i close the ATI2016 gui, for how many time the connection it's keep alive? I have to be sure that user cant acces nas share when a backup is terminated or if i open and close ATI2016 gui.
Thanks best regards.

Thanks for reply.
My windows user is user1 with password: abc, my nas user is user2 with password: jkl ,when I open ATI2016 gui, i can acces the nas share, same when ATI2016 is buckpping. I have this issue on all my ATI2016 installation.

Massimo, if your NAS user2 is used only on the NAS and you don't have a Windows account with the same user name and password, and there is NO NAS user with the name user1, then there should be no way that your NAS can be accessed by any Windows user except by the ATIH 2016 application for the backup task where you have configured these NAS credentials.
I just tested this on my system as follows:
I opened Windows Explorer and explored my Network then tried to access my Synology NAS - I was immediately challenged to provide the credentials needed to access the NAS as per the screen shot below.
Next, I launched ATIH 2016 and selected my backup to my NAS so that it picked up the information for this task.
I then retried to access the NAS via Windows Explorer and got the same challenge for credentials.
The only other reason why your NAS would be accessible from Windows is if you have stored the NAS credentials in the Windows Credential Manager - Control Panel >> Credentials Manager to check.

Make sure you do not have sharing enabled on these NAS shares.
