Windows 10 Post-Upgrade

Thread needs solution

I am running True Image 2016 on Windows 7 and plan on upgrading to Windows 10.  I currently have a scheduled job that runs everyday to create an incremental backup.  After I upgrade to Windows 10, should I expect any issue with this job running?

Also, will there be an issue with the usability of my backups since all of the backups pre-upgrade (the initial full and all subsequent incrementals) will be of a PC running Windows 7 and all of the incremental upgrades post-upgrade will be of a PC running Windows 10.

Please note that I plan on doing a separate full backup of my C drive prior to upgrade as an extra precaution.

Your previous backups will be fine.  You never know 100% after an OS upgrade how things will be, but it should be fine.  If there are problems, you can still clean install Acronis (remove with cleanup tool and reinstall and should be fine if there is a situation that requires it though).  Regardless of anythign you do to or within the OS, good backups can alwasy be recovered/restored using the Acronis offline bootable recovery media.  I would take a full disk image with your offline media just before the upgrade anyway.  Acronis backups while Windows running is fine - however, it leaves the possibility of issues that can or may be avoided by taking a full disk backup when Windows is not already in use.  Before any major upgrades or changes to my OS, I will always take a full disk backup "offline" using the bootable Acronis media.  You can then test that restore to a new disk and swap it out with the original to make sure it boots.  If it does, you know 100% that your backup is usable and can always resort back to it either with the offline media again, or after importing that backup into Acronis in Windows.

Thanks.  I'll create an offline image before before I start the upgrade process, which will put me in good shape.
