Recommendations for Rebuild of Windows 10 system with ATI 16
I have a half-year-old Windows 10 PC (home-built) running Windows 10 x64, with Acronis TI 2016 backing up nicely to an external RAID device. For complicated reasons, I need to wipe the System Disk (an SSD), reinstall Windows 10, and re-build my system. I'm doing this because something has gone slightly haywire with my system, and it seems most prudent to Start Over.
I have some questions about reinstalling ATI 2016 and preserving my current Backup System. To wit:
- Do I need to "uninstall" the software to preserve my ability to reinstall it on this same PC, or will it recognize that it's the same license/system?
- I'd like to keep the same Backup settings (it took a few tries to "get it right"), and (if possible) continue the same Custom Backup Scheme that's been working. Where is this saved, and can I simply copy it before I wipe the disk, and copy it back after reinstalling the software? Is there a recommended way to accomplish this task (i.e. reinstalling ATI and setting up exactly the same Backup Profile as previously)?
Thank you for your help. I will check back here in a few days ...

I'm with Steve here, run an in place upgrade, the process is much improved over how it worked back in the days of XP and solves all problems that I have run into with Windows 10. The best guide on how to perform this I have linked for you below.
