Upgrading to Acronis True Image 2016
I have downloaded Acronis True Image 2016 as an upgrade from my old version of Acronis True Image 10.0 but I'm not seeing any indications that the download is in fact an upgrade or a trial, for instance I'm not asked about my previous serial numbers etc.. Question: Am I on a trial version or on a paid upgrade copy of True Image ? Thanks.

Thanks Tom, I downloaded from Internet Explorer at Acronis.com. Yes I received a serial number with my purchase and the purchase price I paid was for an upgrade. True Image installed OK on my laptop using Win 10 but so far it hasn't asked me for serial numbers from my older versions, that is what raised my question and made me suspicious that it wasn't really an upgrade but in fact a trial version which might not be fully operative or with limitations.

I don't know why you weren't asked for your old serial number, perhaps because of the age of TI. If its functioning properly then I would assume all is well. The trial versions are good for 30 days but i believe you are OK.

Andre, does your copy of Acronis show as being activated on the Account page in the application GUI (icon shows a head & shoulders image)? If not, then you are using a Trial copy with 30 days trial use.

Hi Steve, no head & shoulders image then it must be a trial version and as far as I can see it is fully operational with no limitations.
Thanks everybody,

Andre, please see the screen shot below of the Account page - you should have this even in a Trial copy - it is only if your copy of the software is not activated that it is a trial version.
See KB document: 2768: Trial Version Limitations of Acronis Products which details the limitations of trial software.

Hi Steve, I checked my Account page and it says "Activated successfully!" so that clears it up, it's not a trial version and that also explains why the Clone function was fully functional.
Thanks,
Andre D.
