Need to restore versus simple power failure

Thread needs solution

When there is a power failure and I don't press your F11 option, it takes a really long time to get back operational.  If I do press F11, I do not find any ovious option to use.  If I close the menu window some error messages appear faster than I can read them and then I am back operational much faster.

Question 1

Is there any better way to handle a power outage situation where I do not need to use the True Image restore function but just want to get the computer running again as fast as possible?  (I removed Dell Backup and Restore from my computer because it seemed to have a mind of its own and sometimes would tie my the computer for several hours when it suggested a few minutes wait.)

Question 2

What do these two functions do:

Acronis TIB Mounter monitor

Acronis True Image 2016 Monitor

and what would be the implications deleting them as start-up options?  I think the latter one might be giving me the F11 option from a cold start.

Norman, the best method of handling a power outage situation is to protect your computer equipment from the effects of such an event by using an Uninterrupable Power Supply (UPS) which offers both protection against power surges that can accompany an outage and also provides battery power to enable the connected system to be shutdown in an orderly manner and thus avoid corruption etc.

UPS devices are relatively inexpensive, especially when compared to the cost of replacing your computer system should the power outage kill your CPU or motherboard or other key components.

I have used these devices for many years after losing a PC for exactly this cause.

See KB document: 56697: Acronis True Image 2016: Services and Processes which describes the function of each of the Acronis Services and Processes.  Note: None of these provide the F11 option - that is a boot option provided via the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager (ASRM) function which modifies the normal boot process to allow for the booting of a modified Linux OS environment to run the Acronis programs for recovery.
