Cannot add prior backup to "my backups" list

Thread needs solution

1. I use the button "add backups" at the bottom of the screen.
2. I choose "add existing backups."
3. I navigate to the location of the backup and choose it.
4. The prior backup does not add to the "my backups" list.
5. It does not matter whether the backup is on an external USB drive, or if I copy it to the desktop. The prior backup will not add to the list.
6. I have already created a new backup, but that new backup ALSO does not add to the "my backups" list.

OS: Windows 10 x64

Acronis 2015 True Image, Build #6613

Thanks in advance for any help!

Greg, welcome to these user forums.

It sounds as if something in your ATIH 2015 application setup has become corrupted in some way.

I would recommend doing the following to try to resolve this.

First see KB document: 44350: Acronis True Image 2015/2014: Processes and Services which will give you a list of all Acronis programs / services that may be active on your system.  You will need to end / stop these by using the services.msc console and the Windows Task Manager - just type in services.msc at the Start > Run prompt, and right-click on the bottom status bar to select the Task Manager.

For each Acronis service, right-click on the name and take the option to End.
For each Acronis program (process) do the same and End Task.

Next, open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ and rename the Scripts and Database folders to Scripts.OLD and Database.OLD.  This can only be done if you have ended the services and programs because of locks on the files in these folders.
Note: The above folder path may be hidden on some systems, if so on yours, change the Explorer View option to show hidden files & folders.

Finally, relaunch the ATIH 2015 application which in turn will restart the programs & services, plus create new Scripts & Database folders & files.

You should now be able to add your existing backups plus create new backups.
