restore fails
we are using true image since a lot of years to save a copy of the disk in a s specific partition of hdd, for recovery purposes. Our technician are experiencing a lot of issues restoring windows partition or the complete disk. Windows won't start or you have strange bsod, never seen before. We clone and recover using an external usb stick, acronis is not installed. We cannot understand the reason but we need to close this issue quickly. Hd is always the same, 128 ssd industrial innodisk, motherboard is always the same Aaeon i7 industrial, basically systems are always identical. Can ti2016 have an issue with ssd? Disk layout is mbr

BSOD often occurs if you have booted the USB recovery media in the wrong manner - it should be booted to match the original OS install. 2016 has the ability to boot in Legacy/MBR or UEFI mode. IF the original OS was installed as Legacy/MBR, then boot the USB recovery media as Legacy when you start it. If the OS was installed as UEFI/GPT, then boot the recovery media as UEFI/GPT. Earlier versions of Acronis bootable media were only Legacy/MBR so you did not have to make this selection.

Also, what is the SATA mode on the new bios and/or is the bios firmware the same version? Older systems may all be bios/legacy by default, but newer systems with newer firmware may be capable of bios or UEFI modes. The SATA mode may be set differently as well - it needs to be verifeid that they are the same if you are cloning one drive and putting it in a new system - even if the motherboard is techncially the same, as the settings and/or firmware in the bios may not be configured the same.
