Changed Credentials password reverts back to old password when Win 7 is restarted

Thread needs solution

I changed my Windows 7 login password to BLANK and Acronis 2010 changes it back to original password for some of my scheduled tasks so that they do not run at scheduled time but give an error message that the password is wrong - not all of the tasks do this - just some of them. I keep editing the tasks to change the password back to no avail. How do I correct this?
Thanks.

I gave up on using a blank password. Windows Vista and Windows 7 make it too difficult to get things to work properly without a password.

Have you tried recreating the tasks?

If you just don't want to have to enter the password when you log in, that can easily be fixed.

Thanks, MudCrab...yeah, I wound up having to recreate the tasks AGAIN and now it works.
I swear I have spent more time on fixing problems on this ATI 2010 than any software I have ever worked with in 20 years of computing.
I had to change the name of my Windows 7 desktop in order to get my Linux laptop to "see" it on the network and so had to recreate all my tasks and then for some reason I started getting the login startup screen and so rather than go searching on the net again about how to do an automatic login, I just made the password blank and then...that caused the usual problem in Acronis 2010 with the tasks so I had to recreate them all again.
This is one tedious piece of software. Grrrrr.

Well, in case you run into the problem again or need to add the password, just run control userpasswords2, uncheck the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer. option, and click OK. You'll be asked to enter the password and then it's done.

Thanks...put it in my OneNote notes.
