Remove Backup Monitor system tray icon

Thread needs solution

Why are we forced to have an icon in the system tray in v12?  If every freaking app I had installed put an unnecessary icon there I'd have no space left for actual apps.  This needs to be removed and us given the option to permanently block it from showing up unless a backup is happening.

Hi

It is possible to configure what components to install (see attachments).

So users have to know during install an obnoxous system tray icon that can't be disabled from its GUI?  Take a cue from Intel's/AMD's/nVidia's graphics drivers.  ALL of them come with system tray icons to quickly access graphics properties and ALL of them can easily be disabled so you don't have to clutter up your system tray.  Yet more proof that Acronis 12 is just not the version 12 mature application it purports to be.  Back to the drawing board Acronis.

From another point of view, I purposely looked for a backup solution which had some sort of notification/systray icon ... I thought it is valuable to have it and any messages easily available.  So from my point of view, I appreciate it being there.  I suppose they could rename that "Backup Monitor" component to "Backup Monitor Sysem Tray Notification (Optional)" to make it a bit more obvious to people that its just a  optional visual systray component for people that don't like that sort of thing.
