First backup stalls. Now stuck.

Thread needs solution

I just purchased and downloaded 2017 and did my first backup. It ran for a couple of hours and was not making progress so I canceled. Now I'm stuck. When I try to backup Acronis 2017 says it can't find the backup and says to click on a message for more information. When I do that, I'm taken to the web site and told there is no information on that error.

What do I do now. I'm stuck.

I'd sure like to get Acronis 2015 back.

We're missing a lot of infomration that would help out.  OS, backup type, backup locations, backup hardware, etc.  One coudl only guess right now. 

1) Please post a few of the most recent service logs for review.  The are located in the hidden folder:  C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs

2) Did you use the same backup task from before?  If so, try re-selecting the source and destination and run it again - sometimes that's all it takes

3) Or, better yet, create a new backup task as a test and see if it runs.  

Upgrades don't always go smoothly.  Hopefully a simple fix like re-selecing the source/destiantion again or a new task is all it takes.  Other times, it might be good to use the cleanup tool, reboot and start with a fresh install using the full installer from your account and making sure to right click and "run as administrator" when running it.
