Missing functionality in v12
It seems like there are three features missing inv V12 that were present in V11.7 which are not mentioned in the documenation:
- Restore of a backup to a local standalone VM (i.e. VMware Workstation)
- Disk utilities (partition management, dick cloning, etc.)
- Read/write mounting of a backup for easy ofline generation of a differential backup.
Are any/all of these features planned to be implemented going forward?
Thanks.

Hi,
I don't know excactly which features are included in 11.7 but there are two Versions of 11.7.
Acronis Backup 12 is the successor of Acronis Backup 11.7, currently there is no successor for Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 (https://forum.acronis.com/forum/124426#comment-384606).
So if the "missing" features belong to the Advanced Edition you propably have to wait until the Acronis Backup Advanced 12 is released. This roughly will be beginning of next year (http://forum.acronis.com/de/node/125715#comment-390631).
Thanks!

Acronis Backup 11.7 had the feature as did all previous versions of the standard version. Having been speaking with support for the last 3 days to try and get to the bottom of this I have managed to get them to give me access to 11.7 in my dashboard.
I find it unsettling that not only have they decided to remove features from version 12 but they have done nothing to warn potential customers who are upgrading from 11.7 to 12. If this feature ends up being in Advanced 12 then IMHO that will be another slap in the face as we will be expected to pay for a more expensive license if we desire to move to the newer version 12 upgrade path.
I don't think Acronis could have made this any more confusing for customers.

Hi,
All of these features are planned to be added in Acronis Backup 12 (not only Advanced) in one of the next updates approximately by the end of this year, though there is no final commitment yet. Internal IDs for reference:
- [ABR-82689] Restore of a backup to a local standalone VM (i.e. VMware Workstation)
- [ABR-85153] Disk utilities (partition management, disk cloning, etc.)
- [ABR-106902] Read/write mounting of a backup for easy ofline generation of a differential backup.
Thank you.
