Cannot backup with TIH v2017

Thread needs solution

I have installed my paid for version 2017 upgrade of TI. However, when I try to do a backup, there are two files that kick in taking up 95% to 100% of my CPU memory usage and the computer dies. Nothing will run. Last night I was finally able to get a backup started, but 8 hours later it had only backed up about 63 mb or my files and nothing else on my computer would run.

The two files are Acronis Mobile Backup Server (32 bit) and Acronis Mobile Backup Status Server (32 bit). First of all, what is this Mobile Backup Server and its partner? I have no mobile devices, none what-so-ever. At this moment these two files are taking up 98.5% of my CPU memory. The computer is barely running right now.

I can't live with this happening. Is there a way to get rid of the Mobile Backup Server files??? For right now I am going to uninstall TI v2017 until I get some answer to this problem. If I don't get one soon, I will be demand my money back.

Tom, the two files for Mobile Backup are only used if you are intending to backup mobile products and can be disabled via the Services.MSC plug-in if you do not need or intend to use this feature of ATIH 2017.

There is no need to uninstall ATIH 2017, just kill the two services then go into their properties and set them to be Disabled.

To get to the Services panel, first right-click on the bottom status bar then select Task Manager from the menu list shown.  Click on the Services page and find the two services, right-click on each and click on Stop, then from the same right-click menu click on Go to Services which will open the main Services plug-in panel.  Find the two services again then right-click and open the Properties for each in turn, then set the Startup to Disabled.
