cloud backup scheme
I have True Image 2017 with 500 GB cloud storage. The first backup of my user directory took time as expected. I understand that the subsequent daily backups are according to a preset scheme. Does this mean I will see separately numbered or dated versions of my folder or only the initial folder with changes and deletions made to it? I'm trying to understand the physical organization and how quickly I will use space and I cannot find the scheme described anywhere in the documentation.

I do consider the external drive to be the primary backup but its default schedule is weekly. If the cloud backup consistently takes eight or more hours why is its (unchangeable) schedule daily?
i see one cloud backup so far not several by date. I'll wait a few more days to try and become more familiar with the product.

After the first full, it is only backing up the changes with each backup after that. Unless you're making major changes between each backup, they should go fairly quickly after that.
You can change the frequency to daily, weekly, monthly, upon an event, mnaully, or nonstop (see screenshot).
You can also set the cleanup to either a maximum of 20 versions or a time frame longer than that, but it will only hold a maximum of 20 backups... so if you say 6 months, but do daily backups, the most it would retain is 20 days worth. (see screenshot).
**edit***
As for the dates, when you boot your offline recovery media, it will show you the different dates and you can pick one. When using the browser, if you select a folder, it automatically picks the most recent version. If you click on a specific file, then you can pick a date for that (or those) files. It may actually be easier to go back to older/previous versions using the recovery media if you need to grab an entire disk recovery or a folder from a specific period in time.

Thank you for replying in detail. This is what I was looking for and the User documentation doesn't exactly explain about the recovery process showing you the most recent files.

Glad to help out. Hope all is well with your backup and recovery.
