Installation probelsm with latest release
I downloaded and installed the latest release, and when trying to go through the registration procedure I kept losing my web connection. At first I assume this was an Xfinity problem as i also lost my phne connection. Eventually I found that just bringing up the registration window caused my phone and internet connection loss. I spent an afternoon on line with a tech in India and it was not possible to reslove this problem.
I am not a happy camper as yoiu might imagine. When can i expect a functional version of this product?
And a note about an earlier experience before I purchased the latest update. I had an old copy from some years ago that i installed and when it tried to reboot the system, I had the blue screen of death. I used a recovery disc and was up and running, and found I had a 2012 version so I tried to instal that. It would not do that, and when I entered the product key it told me that it was not valid. The web page that particular disc brought up was totally useless, so that is when I purchased the latest version.

Yes, I have a cable modem. I downloaded the 58630 script and ran it. I flashed up a window so quickly that I was unable to view it. I turned off my AVG firewall as I could make no sense of the gobblydegook at the end of the article. The author of the article does not appear to be able to post clear instructions on how to procede. Any attempt to boot the program still turns off my phone and interner until I shut down the log on window. How could any reputable company release a product blighted as this is, was no beta testing done prior to release? I see from the posting you refence that I am not the only victim of this software.

Francis, I would recommend opening a support ticket with Acronis to flag that you are another user who has encountered this specific problem and are expecting Acronis to produce a fix for this problem A.S.A.P.
In the interim time, you could try enabling the Windows Firewall alongside your AVG Firewall - this should block the outgoing UDP ports for the specific Acronis programs that cause this issue as you have downloaded and run the batch command file from the KB document. Having the two firewalls active should not cause any problems on your computer even though this is not normally recommended, though that would typically apply more to having more than one antivirus product active.

Steve, I spent a whole afternoon on line with an Acronis applications engineer (in India), with him accessing my machine He was unable to do anything to resolve the problem. And of course we had communction problems because each time we tried to open the log on window we lost both telephone and internet connection while the window was open and had to re-establish our connections. If the company applications engineers are unable to resolve this, there is no hope whatsover for the user. I hope that whoever is in charge of programming gives this his personal and immediate attention. They screwed up badly.

Francis, I do understand as I have hit this same problem myself with my Virgin Media (Netgear) Super Hub cable modem and have had to configure my own Commodo Internet Security Firewall settings to be able to use ATIH 2017 on three of my systems.
I don't have any direct experience with using AVG Firewall so cannot guide you in how to make the necessary changes but if you are willing to try disabling AVG Firewall and enabling the Windows Firewall then you should be able to use ATIH 2017 in that way until the developers product a fix for this issue.
Note: When running the block(x64).bat or block(x86).bat command files from the KB document for Windows Firewall these need to be Run as Administrator in order to succeed - you should see a Command Prompt windows like the screen shot below which on my system ran for several minutes making the firewall changes.
Further you would need to go into the Control Panel > Windows Firewall and take the option to Turn Windows Firewall on or off shown in the left side column. See second screen shot.

Updated to 2017, paid my bill, download and tried to install on Windows 10 build 10586, installer aaid an update was available and tried downloading several times with a failure about 90% through. Then installed without the update and the installation went without failure. But the program will not run although many tasks are running the background. No on screen display of any sorts.

Jim, welcome to these user forums.
This is a known issue which is being investigated by Acronis - see post: 124870: ATI2017 still will not start - there is no current fix for this issue at this time.

Do the workaround is to uninstall 2017 and reinstall 2016?

Yes, that is one option at this time.

Hello all,
Update 1 (5554) has been released, I'd recommend to install it, the issue shouldn't occur on this build.
Thank you,
