[SOLVED]: Trail version, can't install Windows Agent, no license available

Hi all,

i would like to try Acronis Backup for Exchange but i can't install the Windows Agent.
After I enter the hostname of my Acronis-Server i get the error that no license is available.

During the installation of the Acronis-Server I also didn't got the question for installing a Trail-Version (see KB 47177).
The installer just asked me "how I want to use this machine"

I tried the web & the full installer of Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7.
Same behavoir

So, how I get my trail running??

Hi Marcel,

You can view the licenses under "Navigation -> Licenses", there should be at least one Trial license. Is the Trial listed there?

When installing the Windows Agent on another Machine it also should list the Trial license when you connect to the license server.

You can try Repairing the installation by starting the setup again, in the Overview should be listed a Trial license for usage.

If you had a previous Trial activated on the same Machine (where License Server is installed) you cannot re-use it again.

From the KB 2768: Trial Version Limitations of Acronis Products:

(!) Trial versions of Acronis products can only be installed once. If trial period expired, there is no way to re-use the trial version on the same computer.

In this case please contact the Customer Support.

I allready tried this.
But it did not work. As I said, during the installation I do not get the possibility to choose a free trial.
After the "license agreement" the installer jumps to "How do you want to use this machine" and not to the screen showed in KB47177.

And I did not had a previous Trial activated.
It's a fresh installed Windows Server 2012 R2 VM

Is your Trial registered to your Acronis Account?

Please check if a serial number is available in your Account: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/my/products/

There must be something wrong when the installer starts and detects previous licenses. I recommend to contact the Customer Support.

No, I do not see any trail license in my Account.

OK, I'll consult the Support.
I'll let you know whats the reason was.
