activation issue

Thread needs solution

Trying to activate but keep getting a message that "the serial number could not be checked. Try again later." Am i doing something wrong. Can i go ahead and use the application?

Thank you for your posting! Our development team is currently investigating this issue and unfortunately we cannot reproduce it in our lab. Could you please send me in PM the following information:

  • it it a clean installation or upgrade?
  • step-by-step description of how you activate the software
  • license keys used for activation

Peter, are you logged into Acronis with your Acronis account already?  If so, try logging out and back in (I had a similar issue after the beta testing ended and upgraded to the full version).  

Additionall, once logged in with the account through the Windows application, you shouldnt' need to enter the serial key either - it should register through the account login option.  If none of these work though, please work with Ekaterina via PM so they can help identify the issue to resolve your issue and pass the information onto develpment if it can help others too.

Robert, if you have an upgrade license, then I would recommend doing a clean install by using the steps below:

  1. Uninstall ATIH normally via the Control Panel.
  2. Download and run the Acronis Cleanup Tool as Administrator (link below in my signature)
  3. Restart then install the ATIH 2017 full installer (download a fresh copy from your Acronis account and ensure you are installing build 5554).
  4. Enter your new upgrade license key when requested, then enter your qualifying product license key when prompted a second time.  This is normal for an upgrade license which needs two license keys - new & old.

I have bought the product "ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE SUBSCRIPTION" on 03.10.2016. After install I want to activate the product by using the serialnumber, I have got by your email. But there is always the message that "the serial number could not be checked. Try again later."

There is no mesage like in Acronis True Image 2016 " using for 30 days is possible"

I have tried tu uninstall and install again, but it is still the same problem.

When I put the link on my screen "seriennummer anzeigen" , there is shown an "old" serialnumber, which ist WRONG and I cannot delet this entry.

On my screen, there is also shown my KONTO with the addition "OFFLINE", but I have an active acount and I can see all my registered oroducts!

PLEAS help me, I have no idea, what I can do to make my product running!!!!

On your Support-desk, I have also sent this message, but there is still no answer

(PC is running with Win 7/64)

 

Hermann, the only advice I can offer initially would be to make a clean install of ATIH 2017 using the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link in my signature below). 

The steps to follow are as follows:

  1. Uninstall ATIH normally using the Control Panel.
  2. Download and run the Acronis Cleanup Tool as Administrator, then restart to complete the action.
    Note: The tool will also remove Acronis Disk Director if this is installed.
  3. Install ATIH again.  Ideally download a copy of the latest build 5554 installer from your Acronis account to use.
  4. Try to activate the product with your serial number.
