ASD5 not seeing M2 SSD on Dell Precision 7510 with 1666 Beta

Thread needs solution

A few days ago I got a link to the ASD5 1666 Beta download to try resolving the Error Code E000101F4 "Acronis Snap Deploy 5 Master Image Creator has not found any hard disk drives" message on a Dell Precision 7510 with a M2 SSD...

Unfortunately, I am still seeing the same error with the new Beta build. Is there anything that can be done?

Temporarily switch the bios SATA mode to AHCI and boot straight to the recovery media after that.  The Dell laptops are shipping with RAID (even with a single drive).  As a result, you'd either have to create winpe and add the IRST drivers manually, or the work-a-round is to switch to AHCI temporarily

WinPE isn't a problem to create, but you lose the stand-a-lone deployment option with WinPE so the AHCI temporary change may be a better option.

We've been rebuilding all of our single drive laptops with SATA mode set to AHCI to make this easier.  I have not seen any performance drops in doing so, although, some will argue that you only get the full benefit of NVME drives when set in RAID.  Real world and benchmarks tell me otherwise.

Hi Jason_O,

Sent it to you via PM.

I am also having the same issue with a Dell Latitude 5591. My version of ASD5 is above that version.

What can I do..

Thank you.

Hello George,

if a Linux-based media of the latest build doesn't detect your drives correctly, then as pointed out by Bobbo can create a WinPE media with the suitable driver pack (I've found a step by step tutorial on the Dell website)
