Acronis 2016 Try an decide - Failure to start

Thread needs solution

Acronis 2016, Windows 10

Try and decide does not open any more with the message: Failure to start (Echec lors du demarrage).
Could it be  consequently a Windows' up to date? It has been working until my last attempt.  What other explanation and resolution ?

Bonjour Jacques, welcome to these user forums.

It is possible that if your system has been updated to the latest Windows 10 Anniversary Update that this has 'broken' Try & Decide.

I would suggest reselecting the Source and Destination options for your T&D task to see if this makes a difference.  Windows upgrades can cause the UUID of drive partitions to be changed as is in effect a new install of Windows 10 and creation of a new Recovery partition.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, then please see KB document: 58382: Acronis True Image 2016: Try&Decide Fails to Start on UEFI Systems which provides an update patch for the ATIH T&D components.  See also forum post: 116818: Try&decide fails in build 6559 which contributed to the KB document being produced and may offer some other suggestions.

Yes, my  Update was the latest Windows 10 Anniversary so I'll explore all the  paths you have suggested.
