No access to backup data on Synology NAS

Thread needs solution

I had TI2015 running for over a year with the current setup and scheduled tasks with no problem.

For some stupid, irrelevant reason I uninstalled TI and installed it again, fresh. I#m on the current build 6613.

Again noting chnged except for the fresh insatlltion of TI and now I can not gain backup the data (folders) on my NAS. I can see all folders so I can select them and I can finalize the backup plan but when I hit start, I get an error message

access to the file / folder is denied
function = "WNetAddConnection3W"
path = \\NAS
Username or password incorrect.

In the old 2013 version I could simply hit "check connection" and provide the correct credentials in a specific screen. But not in 2015.

Any ideas / help.

The error message is linked to  an official help article but this article refers to a sreen to enter the username and password that does not exist in TI2015. ahhhhh..

Hope anyone has an idea

ABo, welcome to these user forums.

Please see KB document: 58004: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related to NAS Credentials which I understand should still apply to your ATIH 2015 situation.  This should allow you to clear any stored credentials for your NAS.
