Test Email notification works, new job email does not work.

Thread needs solution

New install of Acronis 12 on Windows 10 workstation. Test notification works with yahoo, gmail, & Outlook.com however the application logs do show that an email has been successfully sent from the application and I have the less secure option enabled on both yahoo & gmail as I have daily NAS emails from my Synology device via gmail w/o an issue.

Hi Felix,

In the first released build of Acronis Backup 12 there was a problem that test e-mail notifications were using different algorithm than sending them from backup tasks activities, so while test notifications worked, the real ones didn't. This problem had been fixed in the recent updates for Acronis Backup 12. Make sure you're using the latest build and if the problem still persists then please contact our support team for further assistance.

I downloaded an update to Acronis and installed that. Updated from 12.0.3602 to version 12.0.3622.0. Restarted the workstation and after restart conducted a test notification w/o an issue and then proceeded to start a scheduled backup which completed also w/o an issue. I didnt see any evidence of an email being sent after the completion. Not sure if I would need to delete the job and recreate it? I'll follow-up by contacting support this evening.

The issue has been resolved with a full removal of the application, cleanup of the target machine and then installing the current version 12.0.3622.0 which is working correctly. installing the update over the original installation did not correct the issue on my specific installation.

we have the same issue. Version of Acronis backaup is  v.12.0.3622.

Email notification doesnt work, test emails are OK. Is there any other possibility to resolve issue without uninstallation of acronis backup?

You should contact our support team for assistance - the root cause in your case may be a different one, so full reinstallation might not be required.
