NAS Seagate Central and Acronis True Image 2017

Thread needs solution

When using True Image 2017 from the console or disk. My image is broken up into more than one image fiile on the NAS device. When I log into my NAS I am using the default 21 port. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your help.

This can happen for different reasons:

- the file system on the NAS doesn't support large files (the TIB files would be split in equal pieces, except the last one)

- the backup process was interrupted, so the software created in backup insome slices (the TIB files would be split unvenly, you might see some TIB files with a -2 at the end)

In your case, you are using the ftp protocol. There are many ways an FTP protocol can be implemented, so Acronis default to a maximum file size of 4GB (I believe, it might be 2BG).

Can't ACronis see you NAS without the FTP connection?

Thanks for your help. Using the console Acronis software can see the NAS without the FTP connection. As you stated the files are broken down into 2097.152 MB files, except the last one. I thought that this is the way the NAS works with large files. But, was wanting to be sure that I did not have something config. wrong.

Thank You.
