context menu startmenu closes very fast
Dear at all,
we are having problems after installing Acronis 11.5 at all of our clients. If we install a windows client (w7 64bit) completely new we can open the context menu in start menu by rightclick. After installing Acronis 11.5 (38774) if we open the startmenu and rightclick some entries the contextmenu shows only for round about a second and closes.
also we tried to unsinstall Acronis again, also to install a newer Version (11.7) - but failure is still the same.
For testing i also installed a new client and installed only Acronis 11.7 the context menu works correct.
Has anybody an idea, how we can fix this Problem?
Best regards

Hi Raphael,
thanks for your response. this failure only exists since installing Acronis 11.5. Before i installed Acronis, everything is working fine. Also when i install Acronis 11.7, then also everything is fine. So i think i can exclude some other software, that is installed.
If i remove the complete Acronis, the failure still is remaining. So has anybody an idea how to uninstall everything of Acronis. Actually i used the Uninstaller of "Software and Programs", then i deleted the Entries on C:\ and the entry on the Registry HKLM\Software
Best regards

Hi cit,
there is a 35521: Acronis Backup 11.7/11.5: Cleanup Utility but if you removed AB11.5 via control panel and deleted REG keys it should be done already.
Some settings are made by Firefox which can be conflict with AB11.5. Reinstalling Firefox may correct these settings regardless AB11.5 was installed before Firefox (if you have Firefox installed).
Also settings made by AB11.5 are maybe not reverted on uninstallation, I suggest to open a Support Case to find out which setting caused the issue.

Dear Raphael,
thanks for your help. unfortunately the reinstallation also the installation of a new Firefox didn´t work. I tried to open a new support case, but the installed version 11.5 is not even longer supported by Acronis.
any other ideas?

Hi cit,
you can try to find out by using ShellExView as described in post 3 here http://superuser.com/questions/659857/windows-explorer-folder-context-menu-closes-itself and/or here http://www.winhelponline.com/xp/slowrightclick.htm.
I haven't used ShellExView by myself but it is likely self-explained.
If you find Acronis components you may try to remove/disable these from ShellExView.
