Arconis Snap deploy 5 standalone utility on PE bootmedia

Thread needs solution

Dears,

I found that there is no "Arconis Snap deploy 5 standalone utility" on created PE bootmedia. any idea to add this component in PC bootmedia ?

Since there is same devices cannot detected on MS Surface Pro 4 by default Linux-based bootmedia.

Thank you.

It's not there.  I've asked about this too and hope it finds it way into whenever the next build is.

As for using the default Linux meida with the surface pro, you just need to get the 1666 beta which is now a sticky in the main Snap Deploy forum.  I've been using 1666 beta for about 4 months now without any issue and it works great on the Surface Pro 4's.

Hi all,

The request for this feature has been already forwarded to the product management. The Standalone Deployment media doesn’t support WinPE mostly due to historical marketing reasons (there are no technical obstacles, so it’s a pure marketing decision) and we will reconsider removing this restriction in future versions, however likely it will take a lot of time to get done.

Currently you can use Standalone Deployment via asdcmd in your WinPE media as workaround. Here you will find more details on Command-line mode and scripting under WinPE.

Thank you,

That's great news! I know that many users will be happy to have it included! I always forget about the command linne options, but have never actually tried either.
