license issue

Thread needs solution

hello,

we installed a trial version of Acronis Backup 12 some weeks ago. now we bought a license.

License Product Name: Acronis Backup 12 Server License incl. AAP GESD
Number of Licenses: 9

we add the license settings- licenses - add keys. which added one 1 server 1/1.

but when we try to backup we get the message ; One or more machines are not assigned a license.

how do i assign this server license to the machines?

thanks

JD

Hi, have you added all 9 licenses? After it the UI must show usage 0/9.

Try to drill down to licenses (click to 1/1) and revoke the machine. Then add licenses anew and assign it to a machines manually.

Also make sure that the latest software version is installed.

but in the first message you wrote - Number of Licenses: 9

what does it mean? If you have 1 license, then everything is correct - 1/1 (1 license is uesd of 1). If there are more than one machine in the backup plan, you will get a message about missed licenses.

I had the same issue, I had to go into every schedule jobs and click on the edit button and just hit the save button again. Or you might need to re-create the schedule task after reboot the machine that contains the backup application install.

I have been having this issue since installing 2016.  I get good backups for a week or so, then the backup fails with one or more mailboxes are not assigned a license.  I go reassign the licenses, wait forever for my backup plan to open and have to reassign the backup plan again.  45 users, I usually have to assign the backup plan one by one or the screen will lock up on me.  Luckily, I have the "advanced Acronis Team" working on it (major sarcasm applied).  I was getting an email every week or so, asking for files and screenshots.  Since the issue was moved to the advanced level, I have heard nothing. Thankfully, I only purchased the one year plan.
