Can I restore Acronis 2015 PC backup onto a Mac computer?
Does anyone know if it's possible to restore a backup done on a Windows PC in Acronis 2015 onto a Mac computer? MacOS can read NTFS drives, but just not sure if I was to install Acronis on a Mac if it would recognize the backups on the drive that were written using the PC version. Anyone ever done this?
Obviously, I'm just talking about data files. Not a full system backup (ie, no OS restore...just file structure).

Thank you...that's what I suspected. I have an inherited, but not that old, Windows PC that I will probably turn into a file server once my Windows desktop finally dies. Probably best to just restore to that to avoid any complications. Thanks for the response...much appreciated.

Yeah, if you have a Windows machine, just restore with it - keeps it simple(r). You can also look to a VM on the Mac side to run Windows from within it and do Windows file restores as well. Most virtual software on the Macs (Parallels, VMWare fusion), will set you back about $100 though. On top of that, then you'd need a Windows license key to activate the Windows VM so coudl cost more. Do-able, but more work than it's worth since you have a Windows machine at the moment.
