How to convert file tib in vmware

Thread needs solution

hi my name is Simone i have the license acronis true image 2010 I wanted to know if you can convert tib acronis true image files in 2016 with a version of acronis true image that goes from 2010 to 2013, alternatively I wanted to know if there is any acronis program (also executive's version) that can convert tib files of Acroni true image 2016.

is there any utility that allows you to convert files in tib vhi or vmware files?

Thank you for all

Welcome to these user forums.

There are no current versions of Acronis True Image that can convert an Acronis .TIB image file to the file format that is used by VMware and this has never been a conversion choice as far as I am aware.

Having said the above, what you can try doing is to create a new Virtual machine in VMware and boot that VM from your Acronis 2010 (or other version) bootable Rescue Media - this can be created as an .ISO file to allow this as needed, then assuming that you can connect the location where the .TIB is stored to the VM, you could try restoring the Acronis backup image to the VM.  If you can do this, then you could save the VM as needed, though whether the restored image would work is a completely different question / challenge.

Hi, I wanted to know if the tib file acronis true image backup subsequent to 2013 are backward compatible and therefore restorable with a version of acronis true imange previous backup the 2013 version.

If that were the case I could groped to use the 2013 version that I was suited to be a friend to convert tib file acronis true image 2016.

Thank you for all

See KB document: 1689: Backup Archive Compatibility Across Different Product Versions for the official statement on this question about compatibility between 2013 and 2016 which shows:

Acronis True Image 2016, Acronis True Image Cloud (Release 2016)
on Windows

backups of Windows computers created with:
Acronis True Image 2016, Acronis True Image Cloud (Release 2016)
Acronis True Image 2015
Acronis True Image 2014
True Image 2013 by Acronis

Note: this document is about backwards compatibility, not forward compatibility if you are considering trying to restore an ATIH 2016 backup with the ATIH 2013 product or rescue media. ATIH 2016 does not support any ATIH 2010 backup image files.
