How to create bootmedia-cd starting Acronis instead of Windows by default

Markus, I do not believe that it is possible to do what you ask.

The Rescue Media will default to showing a Menu that includes booting into Windows as default in case you forget to remove the media when you have finished using it.  The only options available are specific startup parameters relevant to booting the standard Linux OS media, or how long to delay before taking the default Windows menu entry, i.e. 15 seconds by default.

You could leave the Acronis CD in the tray and select the CD as the 1st boot priority in the bios and then it will always boot to Acronis first.  If you don't enter any keyboard input, it should skip Acronis and boot into Windows shortly aftewards.  If you do press a key when prompted in the bios to boot the CD, then you'll go to the Acronis menu and will need to either pick an option or press "C" to continue to Windows.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but would work pretty much the same way.

You will need to download and install the Universal Restore Media builder from your online Acronis account.  This media builder will allow you to customize your rescue media so that True Image is loaded after the specified wait time instead of defaulting to the Continue OS booting option.

Joey, thanks for your detailed information, I have learnt something new from this - bookmarked for future reference!

I have used Universal Media builder but cannot see the option to default to loading TI. When it boots up, it has "continue OS booting" option selected by default. What parameters do I have to enter?
