Windows 10 Enterprise System Restore

Thread needs solution

Hi to everyone. I have trouble with Windows 10 Enterprise built-in System Restore feature (restore always fails with the following error):

System Restore failed while restoring the directory from the restore point.
Source: AppxStaging
Destination: %ProgramFiles%\WindowsApps
An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x80070091

Does Acronis True Image 2017 allow me to restore Windows to some previously created restore point as if I use Windows built-in System Restore? By that I mean that registry is also backed up and restored. If Acronis True Image 2017 can do what Windows SR does I would consider using it since as it looks error above will not be solved any time soon and for now there is no 100% workaround.

Thanks in advance.

Bojan, welcome to these user forums.

The simple answer to your question is Yes.  ATIH 2017 can allow you to restore Windows to any available earlier point in time provided these 'restore points' have already been created.

I would recommend taking a look at the ATIH 2017 User Guide: and reading through the first three sections - Introduction; Getting Started; and Basic Concepts which will cover much of the capability of this product.

Thank you Steve. I will take a look at this guide with pleasure. According to your post I can create restore points and restore system to these points which themselves include registry state in given point of time.

Bojan, providing you create Disks & Partitions backups then these will always include the Windows Registry and all other system files.
