Will not Install my new Acronis True Image 2017
I am isnstaling Acronis but I get a message that the insallation failed and for more info, this message and the Could not write value AcronisTibMounterMonitor to key \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

I am running Windows 8.1 64bit. I am instaling the 8041 build. I have admin rights.

Larry, is this your first install of an Acronis product or is this an upgrade from an earlier version of the product?
If you are installing from an earlier version, then I would recommend doing a clean install as follows:
Uninstall any current Acronis product you may have showing in the Control Panel.
Download the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link in my signature) and run this as Administrator as per the KB document instructions. Restart the computer to complete the cleanup.
Download the full installer from your Acronis account (if needed) and run this as Administrator.

Larry, please check that the account where you are doing the install has Administrator privileges and use the Run as Administrator option for the installer program.
You should also ensure that your security software does not prevent the install by sandboxing the actions etc.
If you are still seeing problems, then see KB 46710: Acronis True Image: Installation Fails in Windows and follow the suggestions given in that document.
If you still cannot complete the install then please open a Support Case directly with Acronis Support - see the Contact link in my signature.

I shutdown the security software and poof, Acronis install ran.
