The management server is not available for more than 30 days.

Thread needs solution

Hi, We have installed the Backup server a few months ago and every month we get this error and the resolution seems to be to reinstall the VM Agent and then I need to create all the backups.

Can someone help identify and correct the cause of this problem as it is not reasonable to re-config the server every month.

I also have the same issue as of now.  I have contacted Acronis about it and sent my logs to them but they haven't gotten back to me with a fix yet.  It's been 20 days since my last backup and I may just need to use your workaround till they come up with a solid solution.

Are you re-installing the Acronis ESX Appliance or are you reinstalling the management server?

The solution doesn't seem to work for me.  My managment server is set up in a VM running Ubuntu. Is yours running off linux or a windows?

I might just have to reinstall both as a temporary solution for now.

Reinstalling and both doesn't seem to work for me at all.  I've even tried to reinstall the management server on windows but still no luck.

Edit: I was able to do a workaround on the 30 day issue by cleaning removing everything from acronis on the server the agent was running on.  I removed Acronis folder from %Programdata% and cleared the Registry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Acronis.
This is possibly a temporary fix for now until the next month where I have to redo this unless an update comes with a fix

I have the same issue since some days, and I opened a ticket to the Acronis Support. No changes have been made to the management server or to the agent one, but suddently they doesn't work anymore. The system has been online for about 3 weeks.

I will update you if I get some news from the support. I hope so...

Hello Matteo,

As far as I can see from your support ticket, you've switched to the Cloud-based Management Server and backups run smoothly now?

 

They always say reinstall agents, re-create plans or dns/network problems..
I have problems since various months, everything since installing v12. We are desperate........... And our company without backup security

 

 

 

I also had taken Acronis 12 and it worked fine and today it stoped saying managment server not available since 30 days whereas it was working fine . Moreover Managment server and agent both on windows 2012 physical server.  Contact Support and they said reinstall . Looking here it seems like a common problem . 

Anyone can show some solutions ?

What OS has your agent server?

Usually the problem is related to resolution. Try  to add the host to the hosts file.

The latest update (build #3689) seemed to have addressed the issue for us. 

Try updating if you haven't and see if that resolves the issue that you are having.
