20 GB restore point appears after backup

Thread needs solution

I have a HP Laptop and a custom desktop, Laptop is running Windows 10 home (1703) and the Desktop is running Windows 10 Pro (1703). Both have True Image 2017 8053 installed. After complete backup is finished with no errors I noticed a large drop in hard drive space on both machines. All of the restore points were gone and replaced with a 20+ GB restore point that doesn't show up in the system restore.

Any ideas anyone???

Welcome to my world, Steven.

I've been trying to understand the subtlties of VSS between Acronis and Windows 10. Please read this thread to see if it helps to understand what may be going on.

I'd be interested to hear what you may discover.

Steven,

Please open a support ticket with this issue.  Reference this thread when you do.  This is a development that support is investigating so anything they can get from you about the issue will help in a resolution.

I opened a support ticket as you asked also noted that after a reboot or two windows seems to find the corrupt restore point and deletes all restore points and sets the restore point size to 0 bytes and deletes all restore points.

Interesting.  I am sure the developers will be interested in that discovery.
