Will not back up per the schedule

Thread needs solution

Running 2017 on a windows 10 pc. The schedule is set for once per week in the middle of the night, set to wake up the computer when idle but it never backs up, never. Always have to do it manually. Setting problem?

George, I have encountered the same thing and have been working with Acronis support to try to solve this problem. Unfortunately, with the latest release (build 8053) the problem is not solved.

I have my backups configured to wake up the computer as in the attached capture. I have also verified that the system is waking up and the Scheduler2 task is getting control when the system wakes up and again at the exact time the backup should run, but it is just not starting the backup. A lot of information has been provided to Acronis support so I am hoping they will eventually find the answer.

Meanwhile, my solution has been to create a scheduled task that simply restarts the Scheduler2 service two minutes before the scheduled backup time.  Works like a charms. Here is the link to another thread on the subject. https://forum.acronis.com/forum/129173

I suggest checking the logs to see if you are experiencing the same thing.

Thanks!  I'll try that. I have three computers running 2017 and only one consistently has this problem. 

Bruno, George, thank you for reporting the issue and helping us in the investigation. George, if you prefer not to open support ticket for any reason, you can just submit a system report through "Send feedback" form under the "Help" tab. This would help us in figuring out the root cause of the problem and fixing it.
