One system updated to latest build, one didn't.
Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit
I upgraded two systems from TI 2014 to TI 2017. After the initial upgrade, one system updated itself to build 8053, the other is at 8041, the version originally installed. The system on 8041 goes through the motions of looking for updates at each execution but doesn't find any. Both systems say "The product is up to date."
The big difference is that on the system that got updated to 8053, I had uninstalled TI 2014 before installing TI 2017. I was unable to uninstall TI 2014 on the other system because when I selected it from "Programs and Features" I got a little popup telling me that no components of TI 2014 were installed.
I applied the downloaded installation file, AcronisTrueImage2017_is.exe, and it upgraded to TI 2017 without incident and a couple of test backups appear to have worked without incident.
Will the system on build 8041 get around to updating itself eventually on its own, or do I need to look deeper?

I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I was about to do just that, but hoped there was another way.
Along those lines, I posted another message noting that I'm unable to download the latest build, receiving connection errors from the server.
Looks like patience (on my part) is called for here.
