Quota Problem

Thread needs solution

Hi,

my NAS is filled to 60%. Haven't set any quotas on the SMB shares, but all 5 Acronis installations are not able to backup with "Quota hit" and "No space available on taget drive". How can that be?

Christian, this will be an issue with the NAS user rather than an issue with Acronis.

Please see KB 58000: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues with NAS Devices and in particular item 12. Storage space quotas on NAS which speaks to this issue.

Hi.

I am using a Synology Disk Station RS 415. All Quotas are off! I never configured some. The problem occurs on ALL ACRONIS Sessions / NAS-Users at the same time! If ONE Backup will fail, all other PCs will too. Some ideas?

Christian, have you actually checked what is set for your Synology DiskStation in terms of quotas - I can see on my own Synology DS as shown in the screen shot below - where no quotas are set for my backup user.

Looks exactly the same - that's why I am so bewildered.... :-O

Is there a kind of hidden quota? Something only from the mounting client?

Synology Logs and Syslog on NAS looks good.

Samba Log on GUI shows something like:

01:39:39 read 5.11 GB /share/Backup_inc_b36_s2_v1.tib

01:40:28 create NA GB /share/Backup_inc_b36_s3_v1.tib
