Lenovo yoga 720 13 inch and rescue media builder

Thread needs solution

Hello,

when I start the rescue media from USB stick I get the following error message:

Video mode setup error: Errpr 0x1480006: Invalid video frameuffer parameters.
line info: 0xac98503a7af41d1
$module: bootwiz_efia64
Kernel console may work incorrectly

I tried also make a Windows PE medium but the Yoga doesn't boot from stick then.

Is it possible, that the yoga 720 is not supported by now?

Thanks
Hans

Hans, welcome to these user forums.

Please see post: Video mode setup error: Error 0x1480006 - HP ProBook 450 G4 which may offer you some help with this issue.

When you created the Windows PE version of the Rescue Media, which version of the Windows ADK did you use?  You should have the Windows 10 version of the ADK for best compatibility and this should work with your Lenovo Yoga 720 notebook.

I would also recommend opening a Support Case directly with Acronis for this issue as advised to the user in the other post above.

Hi Steve,

thank you for your fast answer. With Windows 10 version of the ADK I can create a bootable image, Acronis is starting fine. But the I get the problem that the hard disk isn't recognized. The hard disk is a NVME Sampung M2, the exact description of the model I can give later.

Thanks

Hans

Hans, now that you have the Windows 10 ADK installed, I would suggest using the MVP Tool - Custom ATI WinPE Builder tool which will allow you to install extra device drivers if these are needed for your Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD.

One point to check is whether the SSD is configured as RAID for the SATA mode in the BIOS - if it is then you will need the MVP builder to inject the Intel RST drivers to provide RAID support.  The alternative would mean changing the SATA mode from RAID to AHCI while you do the Backup or Restore then changing it back to RAID again before booting into Windows.

Hi Steve,

thank you now it works. In the BIOS the SSD is configured as RAID. I have download the latest Version of MVP tool and created a USB boot stick. Without adding the Drivers it worked, I can boot from the stick and the SSD is there.

Thanks
Hans

Hans, thanks for the feedback and glad to hear that this is now working for you.
