Manual backup does not take the settings into the configuration

Thread needs solution

Hello,
When I run a manual backup, ATi does not take the backup method, it only takes the incremental parameter, while the backup phase had to do a complete and delete my first backup

 send you two pictures
1) start manual backup
2) my backup settings

In advance thank you for your reply

Gilles, thank you for the further information / screen shots.  Your backup scheme shows you have asked to only make a new full backup after first creating 4 incremental backups and not to store more than 3 recent version chains, so how many incrementals do your see in your backup storage location?

One thing to be aware of is that editing the backup scheme can reset the count of incremental backups created before a new full is created, so causing more than the number you have configured to be in the backup location.

Gilles, I believe that this is working as intended, though not necessarily as you were hoping for!

Automatic cleanup runs based on 'completed version chains' - you have configured to 'Store no more than 3 recent version chains' per your earlier screen image, and your latest image shows you have 3 recent version chains stored on your backup drive, so cleanup will only delete the oldest chain when the next new Full backup is created to start a 4th version chain.

You have more than 4 incrementals in the latest _b6_ version chain because you have edited the task configuration which as I said earlier, resets the count before a new full gets created.
