Just upgraded to 2010 exactly 30 days ago, now theres 2011. I know acronis offers upgrade protection, but really there should be an upgrade window.
While I was sent an email with a fair upgrade price, I only just upgraded. Which leaves me a little bit miffed.

So did I, but I didn't see 2011 available in my account.
Acronis should consider an annual purchase/subscription option.

Ah right, you actually have to request it. Send your purchase details to Sales and once they've verified it they then email you a new serial number.
Register that number and then download the installer.

No upgrade for me. :(
I think its because I purchased the upgrade version. Although the upgrade would probably cost the same if I had just upgraded from 2009 to 2011. So I guess its fair.
Now I need to decide if I am going to upgrade to 2011.

not long before the release our Sales department released a discount for Acronis True Image Home 2010, so it costed less than usual. After the release of Acronis True Image Home 2011 we offered Customers to add $10 and get the newest version. So in both cases when you purchased Acronis True Image Home 2010 discounted + Acronis True Image Home 2011 upgrade and Acronis True Image Home 2011 - you would pay the same price.
I still entirely understand that upgrade policy can seem confusing. Still I'm quite sure that we can find a scenario that would suit you best. Should you consider using Acronis True Image Home 2011, I'd advise you to test the solution first to see whether it suits you. The trial version is full functional and has no limitations except:
