AB 12.5 ADV, Bootable media issue: no network discovery

Thread needs solution

I decided to install AB 12.5 ADV yesterday, and after a few issues, I finally got it running, backups are working (Windows 10 Pro x64, creators update).

My issue is with the boot media: I tried creating both the standard Linux-based image, and WIN PE x64 image.

Both boot fine from USB pendrive, but I can't get them to navigate my LAN, no matter what...

I think I'm missing something here, as I had no such problem with bootable media for AB 11.5/11.7 ADV, AB 12 STD, TI since like forever...Any ideas?

On another note, the bootable Linux image doesn't find my wireless Logitech MX Master mouse either...

Hello Phaze,

Could you clarify what you mean by "navigate the LAN"? Is the NIC detected in the first place? Do you get an IP address?

If possible, please create a system report from the media and PM the result to me, I want to check what drivers are being loaded by the media.

Hi Igor,

Thanks for your help. What I meant that I could not browse my network from the boot media, so I couldn't find my NAS where my backups are stored.

Anyway, I just tried again... and it found my "workgroup" on the first try... very strange, as yesterday I tried a dozen times... but, when I go to the network adapter settings page, it shows as "disconnected", even if it does now work...

It's an Intel integrated NIC, it seems to be working now. Let me know if you would still like to see the system report.
