"Prevent computer from going to sleep / hibernate" vs. "wake up"
<rant> Jees, I hate this new forum format</rant>
I very definitely do not want my computers to go to sleep in the middle of a backup. I also do not want Acronis (or any other program) to wake up my sleeping computers. These are two very different behaviors. I can find only the single "Prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate" option and I set it, but something is allowing ATI to wake up my sleeping computers. Is there an option I missed?

I see "Run the backup only when the computer is idle" right above the "Prevent ..." option. I took that to mean "Run the backup only when no foreground program is running". (And about the only state more idle than sleeping is when it's powered off.) Is that supposed to mean "Don't power up the machine"?
I'm running ATI 2017 build 8053. What are you running that contains that option? It's certainly the option I want.

It's right in between "Run the backup..." and "Prevent the computer...". I'm also running ATI2017 build 8053. You can see it here...

Boy! That's not what I see at all:

Patrick, see if this helps you...

Hmm. I think that helps me achieve what I want, but not the way Acronis expected. I did (unintentionally) have the "Allow wake timers" enabled so, if I understand the article, I should have had the ATI option in question available. But ... if I disallow wake timers I should no longer have to worry about ATI waking my PCs. I thought I had disabled that option long ago but I obviously missed this PC.

So are you saying the "Allow wake timers" is enabled in your power plan and still the option is not presented?

Yes, up until a few minutes ago "Allow wake timers" was enabled and ATI options were as I showed in the screen capture. Now I have disabled the "Allow wake timers" option in Windows so I don't really care how much ATI wants to wake the PC. Windows should not allow it. (Unless I misunderstand the option.)

And hopefully it will solve your concerns. I wonder, though, why the option was missing. Hmmm.

Sometime today I'll check on my other two computers to see what they show as options.
