Can't make Scheduler Service to work

Thread needs solution

Have un-installed/re-installed Acronis True Image via RenoUninstaller and still can not get Scheduler Service to start.

Hence, no way to backup anymore.

Have tried to get it to start within Windows and get error message: error 1067, the process termindated unexpectedly.

Here is message i get when trying to backup via Acronis True Image 2016:

Danielson, I would recommend doing a clean install of ATIH 2016 as follows:

First, uninstall the current product via the Control Panel > Programs & Features > Uninstall option.

Next, download the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link in my signature) and run this as Administrator followed by restarting the computer to complete the action.

Finally, reinstall ATIH 2016 using an Administrator level account.

Note: Please ensure that when doing the install that you allow any changes that any security software you have installed may want to block.  If necessary, disconnect from the internet and suspend your security software for the duration of the install.

Just to follow up...

Have tried your tips Steve and it didn't work.

Fortunately, i had a good backup (a few versions back) that did the trick! Phew!

Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear that your restore of an older backup has resolved this issue.  There was one more suggestion that I have just remembered that may have helped, and that is to set the Schedul2 Service to Automatic (Delayed start) which has solved this type of issue for other users with similar issues.

That's good to know Steve, thanks again!

If this issue ever comes around again, i'll know where to go.
