What is the best drive to transfer C and external data to?

Thread needs solution

As it turns out, I may very well be buying my new computer now, rather rather than later, as I had planned.

The "game plan" would be to transfer the contents of the 1TB SSD *temporarily* to my 4 TB backup drive, which has tons and tons of room, and the same goes for the 1TB drive. Because the Backup Drive has so much room on it, I was also thinking of transferring the internal drive, a.k.a. "Data" drive there also. They both would fit.

Then, I'd format both drives and send them to Jetline Systems for them to install.

Has anyone here ever heard of them?

So what do you think of my transferring to the backup drive until I get the machine, which should be about 2 weeks. In the meantime, I'll run everything off the Original Seagate Barracuda 1.5GB  HD that came with the machine; also 6 years old.

I just spoke with Kevin at Jetline, and he said if I used ATI2017 for the transferring of OS and Apps, I'd see a 20% slowdown, in performance, that's why he recommends reinstalling the apps one by one. And it'd confuse the registry to no end with all the edits.

So who's right? Does Kevin have a point? What to do...

Thanks in advance,

Why wouldn't you just, make an image of all the drives and partitions, store them on your temporary drive and then recover them to your new PC?

If you are running W10, you may well have a problem reactivating a valid license if you are running build 1703, but that is nothing to do with using Acronis True Image.
