Acronis True Image Icon no more works

Thread needs solution

Hello all. Constructor built us a big machine with Acronis as backup system on 250Gb SSD. As Policy needs, we did plug the machine's computer on a 192.168.1.1 network putter which also have an interface on the industrial network for the data to be mounthly and manually saved in a share. This Gateway is in domain. The machine is in workgroup. So we access to the Gateway with a shared folder.

Acronis worked well on the machine computer. I configured it to write data on the share in the frontend. Machine's user:pwd was given. This credential is not the one starts the machine's computer. Acronis asked me this credential twice then gave me the same configuration as before. As like as it doesn't understand.

I power cycled the machine and now Acronis shortcut doesn't open frontend anymore.

This machine is pharmaceutical, it is next to be validated, I'm scared to reinstall something.

Is it a trick in register to reset situation ? or idea ?

Sorry but I am not sure that I understand either the real issue here or the computer environment where you are using ATIH 2017?

Acronis needs to be run with Administrator privileges, so has this changes since you were able to run the application, i.e. have you changed the user who will run the application?

What computer is Acronis installed on?  Is this a Windows 7 desktop computer or is this a server system?

Dear Steve. Many thanks interresting to my issue.

Computer on which Acronis is installed is a Windows 7 Workstation. It starts with administrator rights itself to grow services and finally the HMI program.

On the share, the user allowed to write is an non rights permissive user, only on share. I have myself no rights to manage administration on this computer, only creating folders/documents in chrooted folder. My credentials or the credentials given "net use" have same rights.

I thought rights elevation had a problem between those computers because one is il workgroup and the share is in domain with active directory user's right storage.

For this, I did plugged my Siemens PG Field, XP Windows; on which I'm admin. I created the same user than this one who start Acronis computer. The same directory than this one is shared, I shared it. I reach this folder with Acronis computer.

When scheduled snapshot required by Acronis; I don't have anymore the red systray message but a white one which immediatly disappear. Ok for me. But

- no incremential backups on my siemens laptop
- Acronis shortcut doesn't start frontend

I inspected all xml files without understanding why frontend is broken.

Gilles, thank you for the further information but I have to confess to being not a lot wiser in terms of understanding the issues here.

I would recommend opening a Support Case direct with Acronis Support and asking to speak with someone who can discuss this issue in your native language (Italian?) - this should be the quickest way to try to find a solution to the problem.
