I have Acronis Image installed on my Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile but when I try to backup it reports error, retry in one minute. Despite numerous attaempts over days it comes up with the same thing. I only want to backup my videos and contacts, I have the other stuff, pictures, calendars etc., turned off. Please see attachment.

Hi Steve, I am on Android 6.01 but like you I can only backup contacts; I am not able to backup videos despite there are videos not backed up. Perhaps one of the TS guys can step into this one.

James, I have just managed to get videos backed up to the Cloud - it had been OK doing the contacts etc, so thought would try adding in videos as have very few to backup - it was a little slow but got there! Will try adding the photos next...!

No luck here I still get the error when I add the videos.

Going very, very slowly on photos - 3% after around 30 minutes!

Hi Steve, when I checked I was not backing up to Acronis Cloud, Selected that now but as you say it is bloody slow. I am fibre affinity 2 here and it has taken 30 minutes to back up 4%!!

Slava, I have submitted case 02860337 this evening by email for this same issue with my Samsung Galaxy J5 Android mobile phone which has still not been able to complete a backup to the Cloud after over a week (for 136 photos) and which will not connect to my computer locally despite being in the same WiFi subnet. Included screen shots plus an System Report with the above case.

I"m also getting the error when trying to back up to my PC with the try again in a minute messaege. Mine is a Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.3 with no rooting or modification to the android OS.
It reads the QR code ok and trys to start the backup but no luck with completing it. I've tried uninstalling the Device app and re-installing to no avail.
is there a way to read the detailed og messages?

Hello
Same problem James Martin. My phone is a LG G3 with Android 6.0. Always informing me to retry in a minute.

I guess 4 months is not enough time for the problem to be solved for any of us. So much for recommending it to others! I'll have to find another app for backing up my Android.

Hello All,
Anyone getting "An error occurred. Please try again in a minute": please fill in and submit the "Send feedback" form from the Settings menu - this will send app's logs to us for analysis. Then please open a support ticket at http://www.acronis.com/support/contact-us.html
The message that you are getting is generic and does not point to what was the real cause of the failure. Only the logs would allow to diagnose the issue properly. Each case should be reviewed individually.
You can also try rebooting the mobile device, re-installing the app and see if this resolves the problem.
Regards,
Slava

Just tried the Acronis Mobile app again and this time it worked! Have no idea what caused the change. As long as it works, I'm happy now!

Hallo zusammen,
Vielen Dank
Gruß Günther

Step1. Open your Android phone Setting => Applications => Manage Applications => All
Step2. Find and click the app which has stopped error.
Step3. Clear data and clear cache there carefully.
Step4. Restart your mobile phone to see whether this method works for your case.

best "Fix" is use the backup provided by your phone service provider or phone make (e.g, Samsung smartswitch). After several years, I've found ati mobile too unreliable to bother with. I am not against ati in general; have used ati for years. It's the mobile backup that's not ready for prime time.
