ATIH 2011 #5105, setup problems with BitDefender
Hi guys!
Just in the beginning of the setup of the german version I've got the following message (-> attached shot). Do I really have to uninstall the actual version of BD?
My system: Windows7 Ultimate x64, updated with all SPs

Yes, I started already a ticket. The solution to uninstall BD first isn't acceptable to me, too -> http://forum.acronis.com/forum/13819
Let's wait and see! ;) I'll keep you informed!

I don't think this is acceptable, especially since this was reported in the beta http://forum.acronis.com/forum/13780. Does anybody know if the same problem is occurring with the 2011 versions of Bitdefender?

Hi Ralf,
Quick update for you and other users. The problem u have installing TI 2011 with Bitdefender 2010 does not occur with Bitdefender 2011. I did an uninstall of TI 2010 and installed TI2011 tonight with Bitdefender 2011 installed and no problems. I will update you should I pick up any other problems.

Merril, thanks for your info! Yes, this is an option, my license is valid also for BD2011.
Would be fine if you keep us informed about any other problems with this constallation.

That ability to install TI2011 with BD2011 is possibly due to the fact the TI2011 installer hasn't been coded to check for the BD2011 install code signature.
I can't try that workaround as my BD is part of ABS2010.

Sounds good. OK, I'll give it a try this weekend.

OK, this workaround, updating to BD2011 and repeating the ATHI2011 setup, was successful! Thanks again Merril for the tipp! I had to update/upgrade my BD2010 anyway!

Hey Ralf. Glad that also worked for you. I had to upgrade BD anyway due to a services problem I had with it. So it was a perfect time to test it with TI2010

Dear Customers,
This is already known problem reproduced in our test lab.
It is being worked on. For now please stick to the workaround described above - Update BitDefender 2011 and then reattempt Acronis true Image 2011 Home installation.
Thanks,
Andrey.

The new ATI 2011 Build 5519 can now be installed in a PC having BitDefender 2010. (You don't have to upgrade to BitDefender 2011 before running ATI 2011 Home installation).
