Stuck with virtual drive "L" after Try & Decide Acronis 11

Thread needs solution

I already have a Secure Zone with lots of backups in it.  This morning decided to use Try & Decide;  software would not install with Acronis Try & Decide running so I right clicked taskbar icon; chose "discard changes" and restarted computer.  Problem:  I STILL have a virtual drive listed in My Computer.  How do I get rid of it ?

I do not want to delete my Secure Zone backups.  If I had known this was a permanent change I would not have tried using Try & Decide.

Look in Windows Disk Management and see if the virtual drive is listed there. If it is, check that your SZ appears as a FAT32 partition and no drive letter assigned, then  right click on the 'L' drive and remove the drive letter.

I suggest stopping the T&D service in Services.msc before attemtping to remove the drive letter - in fatc just stoppin gthe service may cause the drive letter to be removed from registry.

Window's disk management is - right click My Computer choose Management, then Disk Managment from the left hand index list.

To get to Services - Window's button\Run\'Services.msc'   (don't type the quote marks).

Thanks, services solution did not work; removing drive letter in computer management at least makes it not visible.

You may have to use Disk Director to rectify this, I had a similar problem and used Windows to try and modify partitions but it recked the disk and DD got it back thank goodness. So I would hate you to go thru what I did.
